Sézane & Octobre le Bon Marché — Local services in Paris

Warning: double check what they package up for you before you leave to make sure they give you the correct items.

The other weekend, I went to the counter with the items I wanted to buy, then after paying, they brought over new stock to wrap in tissue paper and put in a bag for me. Great that their standard process is to give new stock for you to take home instead of floor stock, but it turns out they packaged up for me the wrong trousers (same colour, different style). I didn't discover this until I left the country. I was only there for a weekend and didn't unwrap the tissue until I returned from my trip.

I contacted Sezane who directed me to contact Sezane at Bon Marche. Two weeks since I first raised it with Sezane and still no resolution despite follow ups. Still waiting with pants I did not want.

I'm wondering if the negative reviews for the Sézane at the Bon Marché are meant for the location at 115 rue de Bac? I did experience appallingly rude service at "le apartment" on rue de Bac today. However, afterwards at the Bon Marché, I stopped by the Sézane department and the employees were definitely busy but helpful and professional. I couldn't forget the terrible experience earlier at the Sézane on rue de Bac and made purchases in other departments. It pains me to leave a negative review for a store in Paris as my shopping experiences at stores such as Rouje and BA&SH have been exceptional. But I'll certainly avoid Sézane...

I found this shop on the way to a fabric store and I loved the window display so I went in. (Had I looked it up beforehand and read all the negative reviews on google, I might not have entered, which saddens me. I was quite surprised to see how low the rating was.) I had a very lovely experience at the shop on Rue de Sèvres in the 7th. I was immediately and warmly greeted upon my arrival. The personnel were polite and helpful.
