Beautiful quality products, it’s such a shame the female elderly staff member that works at this particular store (Bon Marche) was terribly rude, impatient, and very much uninterested to help us. I came to purchase, lip balms, combs and perfume. When I first arrived at the store, she immediately noticed my arrival and continued to chat amongst other staff members, which I didn’t think much of as I browsed the store, however after 10 minutes it was clear that she was intentionally ignoring me. I instantly felt uncomfortable and disappointed with my experience. I advised the elderly staff member that I was after 3 lip balms, she sighs and groans and rushed me for my order. She asked me the spelling of the names for the lip balms, didn’t even bother listening, as I can see she misspelled all the names and was getting impatient as I corrected her, this was nowhere near closing time and it was not busy, I was the only customer at the store at the time, so there was absolutely not reason for her behaviour towards a paying customer. It is terrible that such a beautiful store chooses to keep an employee that reflects terribly on their brand. If she did had a wealth of knowledge and experience, we wouldn’t have a clue as she did not bother spending any time or effort to help us purchase our products. After my experience with the lip balms I decided not to purchase the other items. Upon picking up our products, she refused to provide me with additional bag, her excuse was that the lip balms was already “gift wrapped”. Customer service was disappointing; I was waiting in line & not acknowledged by either workers that worked there (there was only 2 workers). I wanted to ordered combs for myself and was helped by an older lady. She was not friendly at all and rushed through my customization; the font options were NOT offered to me - she picked it herself. Again, I felt rushed and was began to feel unwelcome so I didn’t notice this. Also, the lip balm casing only came in a lime green color at this time - decided not to order, wish they had the selection of colors available. After customization, we were told to come back at 5pm to pick up our order (it was 3 hour wait). This would have been nice to be told before ordering. I am unsure why it would take 3 hours to custom 2 combs. When I came back, the 2 ladies that were there prior (even the one that helped me) were still there. Again, not acknowledged and was completely ignored by one of the ladies while I was lined up (no one was in line) and next to her. The older lady who took my order saw me and didn’t even offer to give my purchases. After waiting, someone finally asked me what I wanted. Overall, customer service was horrible and I recommend to avoid this location. For a brand that does customization, there needs to be a better client-to-worker interaction. I see a lot of negative reviews about that specific staff member, so I am sure the store is aware. She was impatient, she was constantly rushing us in unreasonable manner. We had exactly 3 minutes to pick a comb, when she didn't even show all the models, and didn't put them over the counter, whereas the other staff members provided full experience for other customers. You can check with the cameras, our whole "sensual, warm experience, welcoming and serene environment where each guest can explore our creations at their own pace" took less than 5 minutes (!!!).
She completely ruined the experience of selecting a Christmas gift with her attitude. The purchase was made under stress and nervousness as she turned every question into a problem, refused to state prices, and didn’t show the products.
After many difficulties, she eventually processed the order, but with constant sighs and groans, making us feel guilty in the process. Regrettably, the whole Christmas mood was ruined.
