JEANNE DANJOU et ROUSSELET — Local services in Paris

I was fortunate enough to happen upon Jeanne Danjou et Rousselet and decided to walk in. What a GREAT decision! I quickly went from considering one pair of earrings I had seen in the window to buying 10 different pieces--some as gifts and some for me. The work is high quality, Jean Claude's service-with-a-smile is fantastic, and I love being able to "shop local" in a small business even when I'm on vacation. In addition to the pieces I bought on Day 1, I came back on Day 2 to pick up another pair of earrings I liked (one for my friend and one for me!). On Day 3, Jean Claude did some repairs for me on two pieces I'd traveled with to Paris. The total experience was fantastic--great designs, both classic and fun, historical (one pair of earrings were made from material that approached 100 years old!), excellent service, great prices, and a charming shop! This has to be my most favourite Jewellery shop in Paris. You MUST visit if you go. You will find beautiful, original hand crafted pieces of jewellery, at the most affordable prices. The jewellery is unique, beautiful and caters to every age. My husband and I first stumbled on this shop at the age of 23 and I am now 55. At 23, I bought several pieces of jewellery and still have them today. They are still beautiful, timeless pieces that can be worn. I will always go to this shop when in Paris, firstly to buy myself a gift or two, as you will see when you visit and secondly, to buy beautiful gifts for family and friends. Me and my friends went nearby to have lunch and I saw this store. It immediately caught my attention but it was a bit full so I decided to return another day. I was totally worth it! I bought 3 pieces and my friend another 3. I think we spent no less than 30 minutes trying to choose from the wide variety of pieces, because they were all so absolutely beautiful! We bought earrings and necklaces made with materials older than 100 years! 😍 The jeweler is an absolutely lovely person and it shows how much love and care he puts into his art. An absolutely amazing experience! I will return whenever I get the chance....
