It was a treat of a lifetime. We learned about A L'Etoile d'Or from the writings and video of David Levovitz. When we arrived, Denise Acabo was busy with customers in the shop. But, very shortly, we were the recipients of the warmest welcome we received while in Paris. She just embraced you and you're immediately inspired by her joyful manner and exquisite candy shop. We loved every minute with her. We left with a bag of delicious candies we continued to enjoy over our next two weeks in France. Best little chocolate/candy shop in the city, I have no doubt. Lovely accomodating shopkeeper will answer all your questions and offer recommendations based on what you like (so be patient if she's helping someone else. It's worth it.) Denise Acabo (the owner) and Mayumi (her assistant) are just one of the friendliest and most welcoming people in Paris. They adore their job and wish to share their love for chocolates with you.
