I recently finished a 7 month lease with My Paris Agency (“L’Agence de Paris”) and had a nightmare experience. I’ve never had such a terrible experience before - I’ve rented 4 apartments and have always left on good terms with the landlord or rental agency.

A small wall in the apartment started peeling badly, and even grew black mold which stressed me out a lot. They didn’t send anyone to fix the wall, and at the end of my stay took my entire €1800 security deposit, claiming that it would cost €2100 for repairs. This is over 3x what a reputable technician quoted me to fix the wall. They also didn’t let me do an exit inventory walkthrough, and then sent a long list of damages that I simply had not done to the apartment. This was especially frustrating because I took a lot of care to respect the space during my stay.

This whole experience was extremely distressing and was a huge damper on my time in Paris. As a foreigner, I felt powerless to pursue any sort of recourse. I even visited the ADIL, a government housing advocate group, and they informed me that the agency was acting illegally, but that I would need to stay in Paris longer to bring the situation to the...

If I could put zero stars I would. Don’t get scammed by these people. I booked an apartment for almost $1500 for 5 days in Paris . I have a very good track record that the host could see in the platform I used to book with them Never had an issue and I travelled to places very beautiful. They are accusing me of damaging a wall that was already dirty and damaged. They did not provide us with a working TV and wifi. I was not able to work for the length of my stay and lost money. Not they are scamming me and asking me to pay a dirty wall of over $600!!! This happened in the past with them and they did this to other people. if you look at these comments here you will see. The backyard is surrounded by rats because of the businesses and restaurants around and the trash. The floor was dirty when we arrived, the smell was horrible in the bedrooms. They are scammers and liars. When I reported the issue they implied that that never happened before and that the tv was working. My husband and I enjoyed the most wonderful stay in this apartment. We are both involved in the art and film industries and we greatly appreciated the tasteful decor and beautiful feel of the space. With the apartment set towards the back of a courtyard, it is remarkably quiet and such a welcome relief after a day in the busy city. The apartment is huge for Paris! We loved the glass winter garden that housed the dining area. Filled with interesting and beautiful plants, we enjoyed the warmth of the space in the evening when we weren’t out for dinner. The kitchen is incredibly well equipped and there was nothing that we needed that it didn’t have. Having a separate WC to the main bathroom was also very much appreciated. We slept so well every night and were sad when it was time to leave. Charlotte was an absolute pleasure to work with. She responded immediately to any queries we had and was so accommodating to the change in our travel dates.
