Disappointing experience at this Indian restaurant. Waiter/owner was hospitable, friendly and not pushy with ordering dishes. Nice ambience. Samosas (7,50) were overpriced and definitely not made fresh. No sauces to accompany. Butter naans had an unidentifiable creme in them and were definitely not produced in a tandoor oven. Chicken biryani was heated up, probably frozen as well. Absolutely no flavor and no Indian aromatic spices detected. Dish came with a weird brown sauce on the side. Butter chicken, beware rice is extra at 3.50, was unusually sweet and possibly sugar-based. The color of the dish was unnaturally red/pink. Glasses were dirty. Ambience ok but this Indian restaurant should send the cook back to India for a refresher on cooking food that has the potential to be so much...

For drinks, I had ordered mango lassi (thick shake) and it was the perfect amount of sweetness with the right consistency. In the lunch menu, the butter chicken and sagwala were amazing. The naan’s are little small, but their softness and taste makes up for the difference. The place is run by a french couple (wife’s the chef) and rest assured they know what they’re doing. They make everything fresh and it reflects in the food.
P.S. Since the restaurant is open the whole day, I recommend visiting slightly late at around 2pm in the day...

In the starters, we ordered chicken tikka and mixed veg pakoras and were offered a complimentary accompaniments (fermented veggie pickle is a must try if you have likings for sour and slightly spicy taste). In the main course, we went for dal makhani, baigan bharta, biryani and garlic naan - the portion size was good enough for two people and taste was somewhat similar to what you call a nice home cooked Indian meal. *Oh and lastly, don’t forget to their mango AND rose lassi which was...
