Mon Creme — Restaurant in Paris

We were in Paris today for some shopping and had planned to have poutine at a nearby restaurant but it was closed. We elected to try Mon Crème as we were really hungry and the outdoor dining looked enticing. We stumbled onto a very good restaurant with friendly staff and very good food. I had the Cobb salad and my wife had the fish tacos with a side order of fries. The portions were plentiful and very tasty. I actually saw the Cobb salad delivered to a table next to us and it looked very good exceeding my expectations. I did substitute the blue cheese for parmigiana cheese and I highly recommend this salad especially if you are very hungry! The desserts looked enticing but we were too full so opted for very tasty coffees me with café au lait and wife with standard espresso. We walked away delighted with our choice...

The manager and assistant manager greet diners with big smiles and a warm welcome. Their greeting is a precursor to the coziness one feels inside. The décor reminds me of an old English cottage rife with flowers and colorful paintings. My meal was delicious and inventive. When you look at the menu and see some typical American items, don't despair. The chef puts an interesting and delicious twist on the ingredients, combining them in modern, inventive ways. My waitress was amazing - in addition to me, she handled a table of 12, two tables of two and 1 of three. Her service was calm, flawless and timely. I do not recommend. For the exact same price you can find much better place for brunch in Paris. I ordered the waffle with a crispy chicken. The waffle was awful! I didn’t touch it anymore after few bites. It’s everything else but not a waffle… without a taste and totally rubbery. With a little of sauce, one egg and that’s all, not even few lettuce leaves. The coffee was very mediocre, but 6,5€ for a cappuccino and 7€ with an oat milk, are kidding me?? Which taste not really good ?!
