La Cevicheria — Restaurant in Paris

Very nice staff and atmosphere all together. The location also is in a street not too crowded, while in the very center which really gives the impression to be in a bubble, in the midst of the Hustle and bustle of the city. Now let 's get to the food itself. The food is healthly, good and while there are a loot of different favor in the place they balance well; My favorite course has been "Tiradito de Thon Wasabi" ( I tested half of the menu so far) My only regret is the offer structure which leads the price point to be slightly too high. ,as you wont have cerviche every day,You want to try as many as possible, all the more one place is not enough for a full stomach. And off course adn you won't love them all equally; unfortunately half plates are not available.

Last time, We were 2 and had 3 plates so only had a share of the experience ( we were lucky cause we had advice) . I happen to love them all but my partner only love one, and like and another one.the bill was 77euros with only drink for my company and a bottle of sparkling water; which I think could be better. I believe the restaurant would gain in having a degustation offer that would in quantity match 1.5 plates, while only costing 40 euros instead of 48, and would secure that people get one plate they love for the next time they come back.

But all in all, I 'd recommend the place...

Really bad experience with the staff.

First of all I want to start by saying that the food has been good and the ceviche as expected (even though the service has been quite slow).

However! Once I‘ve come back from the restroom (which by the way there is only one for both male and female with a huge line of people forming outside all the time) I‘ve sat dawn on my chair and a nail that was poking out has made a big hole on my jeans. I’ve told that to the waitress and she has taken it with her manager and said later on that I could repair them and they would pay for it. Then I’ve asked if I could talk to the manager and told her that this was not realistic since I am leaving tomorrow. She basically didn’t help at all and when I told her that I was not expecting anything but I just wanted to give her the feedback that this was not OK, she just laughed at me together with some other staff members. Really disrespectfully.

I would not recommend this...

Portion are quite small for the price. Service is extremely slow especially a Saturday night when we came. It was hard to get just a bottle of water. My plate was ready but somehow when they came at our table they asked to half the table who was this meal. As we were at the opposite we didn’t her and they left back to the kitchen with my meal. I had to ask where is it for them to bring it back cold. I took cheese cake as dessert is mid it was acidic. On a better note the waiters were nice and kind. If you’re a big group of people they forgot some plates. Also some people asked for plates they said they didn’t have and then they anyways brought it. There is a mess in the service...
