🇭🇺 5 reasons to visit Budapest ⬇️ during Winter ❄️⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ 1. 🎄 Budapest is home to Europe’s Best Christmas Markets - voted 3 years in a row! These enchanting Christmas markets transform the city into a festive dreamscape you can’t miss! Check out the @wines.of.hungary stall to sample the best Hungarian wines 🍷⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ 2. 🔥 Escape the cold and relax in one of Budapest’s many legendary thermal spas, where the soothing mineral-rich waters promise a blissful escape and a rejuvenating experience. I recommend checking out: Gellért Baths, Széchenyi Thermal Baths and Secret Garden Spa.⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ 3. 🍷 Warm up with a glass (or two!) of Hungarian Wine. A winter elixir that not only complements the weather but also offers a taste of the country’s rich viticulture heritage. Book a wine tasting in wine tasting in Etyek – a region famous for its wines and just 30 minutes from Budapest.⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ 4. ❄️ Winter is the most affordable time & most quiet season to visit Budapest. It also rains less in winter than it does during Summer, with the driest months of year in February and March. Enjoy exploring the most popular attractions such as Fisherman’s Bastion and Buda Castle without the crowds.⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ 5. 🍽️ Get cozy in the most beautiful cafe in the world - New York Café. Budapest has an amazing gastronomy scene, there are endless cafes, restaurants & bars to check out and try Hungarian dishes, paired perfectly with wine. My favourites are: VIRTU, Leo Rooftop, TwentySix, Szimpla Kert and Mazel Tov. ⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ AD #winesofhungary #hungarianwines #visithungary #winetasting  #budapest  #magyarbor  #borturizmus  #hungariangastronomy⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ #budapesthungary #budapestgram #budapestagram #budapestfood #budapest🇭🇺 #budapesttravel #budapest_hungary #visitbudapest #hungary🇭🇺 #europetravel #visiteurope #🇭🇺#uktravelblog #uktravelblogger #londonblogger #londonbloggers #travelbloggers ⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ Budapest Restaurants | Budapest Bars | Budapest Cafes | Places to visit in Budapest | Budapest best food | best activities in Budapest | Budapest hidden gems

We were really hyped about this place at first, but then reality hits. Small place for too many people. One Finnish sauna which could be absolutely fine, if there was any regulation about NOT wearing swimming suits to the sauna. You shouldn't be allowed to do that, it's unhealthy and absolutely disgusting to breath burning rubber etc... And on the top of that, people in those sweaty swimsuits are coming right to the jacuzzi without showering themselves. Very few places to rest and lay down, not enough for everybody. And people from the gym are situated right in front of the shower and looking straight through the window at you showering naked. Not really worth the pricetag and all the hype around it. It could be a great, silent, hidden place... But it isn't. Sorry.

Really disappointing experience all round tk be honest. Staff didn't have a clue what they were doing. Girl working there (brunette with glasses who barely spoke above a whisper) couldn't answer a single question, couldn't give any information and refused to so much as show us around the spa (which in itself is TINY). She incorrectly booked us for two facial massages (which we didn't realise aren't supposed to be booked alone but as an add on). Luckily the massage therapist was kind enough to still take us (they were amazing and hence the 2 stars)but again it was entirely the hotel staff members mistake and caused a big confusion and her inability to know her own job or explain things properly. At the end of the our session she'd completely disappeared and i was unable to get my i.d back from the desk, having to go to the main hotel reception to fetch a staff member. All round it felt badly organised, small and lackluster. One steam room (which was cold), one sauna (small) and one jacuzzi. Changing room is tiny and no privacy to change. Only allowed to drink water from cheap chipped plastic glasses yet water dispenser was empty majority of our visit. For the price I'd recommend...

Bit of a steep price for what the spa offers to be honest. I believe we paid around £30 each for a 3 hour entry slot. The three hours did end up being enough in the end, which we were worried about.

They give you a robe and slippers on entry which is quite nice and also a locker key to put your things away in. But this did get a bit tricky when there are 4 of you in the sauna with your robes and slippers hung up at the same time and nobody knows whose is whose which isn’t great. Maybe some numbers on the robes may help this.

However, it was quite crowded (nearly impossible to get a space in the jacuzzi) and I felt as though the pictures make it look a lot nicer than it actually is. Definitely not as clean in person, but not awful.

Steam room didn’t get particularly steamy but the sauna was probably the best part. Apart from that not a lot else there to be honest.

Would recommend walking through to the gym to make use of the ice cold water cooler, instead of drinking the awful orange infused water at...
