I have lived here for over 6 years now and very much enjoyed frequenting this restaurant. Before covid, the food was more than acceptable (two steps above grocery store sushi) and the price was very affordable. The staff back then were just the same as the rest of the country in terms of service. The amount of money you paid for their all-you-can-eat menu was well worth it. We were there for Easter this year and boy has it changed! We always opt for the one-price menu and then it's all you can eat for 2 1/2 hours. You order what you would like on a downloadable app and they bring the food out to you. Drinks like soda, house wine, standard beer, green tea, and water are all included. I have never walked out of there feeling unsatisfied until yesterday. We had to beg for our drinks, some of which we never got even asking for them more then once, and the food was slow as hell to come out. We were surmising this was done on purpose. Although we walked out of there not hungry, the feeling of satisfaction was just a memory. When you pay for an "all you can eat" you expect to turn down ordering more than wondering where your food is. The biggest mind-blowing factor for us was that we had no way of communicating properly with the waitresses. Not only were the staff not hospitable but they spoke Mandarin (which to me is very odd considering it is a Japanese restaurant). One would figure that they would have staff that spoke the local language (I mean we are in Hungary) or at least English! No, you are left to point or use some form of sign language to get what you would like. Half the time we didn't know if they understood us or not (and we could speak 4 languages at the table). I would like to know what the HELL is going on? I definitely will not be returning AND do not recommend this restaurant at all. There was one positive though, my jack and coke zero was very strong. Made my dinner more...
Read moreI would like to give 0 star, but unfortunately it is not possible. I am not satisfied with the restaurant at all. Although the food was good, nothing else was okay with the restaurant. Among my orders I had 10 prawns from which I only got 4 and those were the main things I had ordered. When I wanted to pay the lady have told me that the service tip is not included and asked how much she can put in the terminal. I was really shocked as she hadn’t asked me about my opinion or the service or if I was satisfied and asked for tip in such an unpleasant and rude way. I have told her that I am not satisfied as I didn’t get half of my orders, she said that the wifi is not working all the time and maybe that’s why or they are busy. This respond is more than unacceptable. After I have paid she was waiting next to the table for my tip (which I was really not planning ti give after that) which made me feel so uncomfortable. The bathrooms were more than disgusting, no soap, toilet papers and other waste all over the floor the paint on the doors was half there half not, really could have corrected it all over the years. I would not recommend this...
Read moreOne of the best sushi places in Budapest. Definitely better than Wasabi. Worth trying! Note: all you can eat time limit is 2.5 hours most waiters don't speak Hungarian most waiters are rude, but it might be just that they don't speak English well enough ordering is done thru a website which only seem to work in Safari (but they lend you an iPhone if that is a problem)
It took me three visits to realize that the time limit for the all-you-can-eat is 2.5 hours. There was no information. The first two times the waiters said "we are closing" - which was a strange way to put it at 8.30pm when the places closes at 10pm. The third time the waiter said "your time is up" - and then we understood the 2.5 hour rule. The time limit itself makes sense, the problem was the lack of communicating it either as we choose the all-you-can-eat option, or on the menu, or anywhere.
Either the waiters' English is not very good or they are rude, but converstations like this are bound to happen: Your time is up. You want a last round or ice cream? We would like to order one last round, please. So you are finished?! No. So I can take your...
