Coffee N Mood — Restaurant in Kolkata

Go there. Spend an hour. Do Nothing. Enjoy the cosy comfort of the place quietly. It does come as a relief on sweltering and muggy days. The same spot has a 'Tea Junction'as well as a CCD for the public's attention and money just on the opposite pavement. But go here, right next to a "Sabyasachi" (workshop I presume). I had some time and wandered around the place, took a walk past "sare chuattar" and "kopai" in Raja Basanta Roy Road, crossed Sarat Bose Road, went on the other side past "Saurashtra Nimki House". There are many other eateries and restaurants in the area. I wandered past "Saffron Tree" (the kababs are awesome), "baranda restaurant" and Thyagaraja Hall. I was thinking about sitting in a cafe and on the 3rd crossing came across this place. Out of the three choices available, I went to try this place, which I had never heard of before, and I wasn't disappointed.

Tips: The capuccino is lovely. Far better than standard ccd fare and at least 30% lighter on the wallet. But the real surprise is their lassis. Try their "mint lassi" and "aam panna lassi". Invigoratingly refreshing. Everything about them, the mug (yes, thick mug and not those stork necked glasses), the look, the froth at the top and the taste was classy and will leave a mark in your mind for a long time.

Suggestions? The menu says Indian coffee with not a single Indian style if coffee around. So question, is it possible to add South Indian filter coffee in the menu and make an authentic and good job about it?? If they are reading, would like them to think about it. Second, they have slush and have erroneously printed "slash" in the menu. These kinds of errors bring down impressions a bit.

But hey, I am just being churlish here. As I said at the beginning, spend a lazy hour and enjoy the cosy comfort of the place. I didn't try out their food, but the beverages have you want in a cafe. High Quality, classy, cosy, not impersonal like an assembly line and not snooty....

Almost 4.5 actually !! The best part is unlike others they don't charge for leftover food packaging and that packaging was A+ ! Food will be freshly prepared and will be served hot so it might take a little bit time but that's totally worth it ! We took veg basket which was served with 3 different dips and if you will ask for mayonnaise dip that will also be provided with out any extra charge ! The Sandwich was also very tasty ! Only thing was there was no burger available and I was craving for it so badly otherwise could have given a five ⭐

The workers behaviour was very generous I got to mention ! Do try their corn and cheese sandwich ! You will 💕💕...

Have been visiting this place for quite some time. It's great for holding professional meetings and usually I have my meetings here. However, quite recently, the behavior of one of the service staffs was unacceptable. He was outright rude without any proper way of speaking. This is indeed a thumbs down for the place and I have decided not to visit the place ever again. When you are working in the hospitality industry, you should be aware of the norms and ways to communicate with people. The staff was completely unaware of this part. Wish them all the luck! Hopefully they don't miss out on precious clientele because of rude behavior and...
