I have been going to this store from almost 2 decades and have seen the three generation owner of the store. Customer service is extremely good. Last week ordered chicken cutlet, fish roll, fish fry and special kolkata fish fry. Was surprised to see the quality and taste detoriation of fish roll and normal fish fry. There was no difference betweem campari’s fish roll and fish fry with other snacks store with very fine layer of fish which was very surprising to me.However the special fish fry and chicken cutlet was good with full amount of campari style fish and chicken in those items. I would request the owner please improve the quality of the fish roll and normal fish fry if you need to increase the price plz do it, but dont compromise the taste of campari for price. We are a long time customers and I know my extended family members too are a huge fan of this store too. Lastly campari is an emotion for us still now whenever in gariahat or any tea party at house we order from campari. O ya the kasundi taste has also detoriated the spiciness of the kasundi has...
Read moreThis is a popular destination for fries and rolls in Gariahat. I tried iits highly recommended chicken cutlet. A nicely shaped cutlet with curved edges and a bone attached at one end which will allow you to lift it. Perfectly crunchy crust of breadcrumbs encasing a thick, tender fillet off the breast. No part of the chicken was chewy. Little wonder, it's a bestseller on the menu. It merits the price of Rs 70.
I had its chicken roll, another popular item, last year. A smaller, soft, non-oily home-style paratha rolled over tender, lightly spicy chicken pieces. They put a lemon wedge on the plate so you can squeeze it over the filling if you wish to (which already had a squeeze of it). It's tasty and won't sit heavy on your stomach. The only hitch was, it was...
Read moreThe must-try items are the special fish fry (costs Rs.100, if I am not wrong) and fish roll (sorry, don't remember the price). Of course, there are other delicacies but these two are definitely the show-stoppers. The quality of the fish is really good and the size is also excellent. The taste is at par or may be even better than the other very old snacks restaurant and the price is cheaper than what the offer. The only downside is the seating arrangement. There are small tables where you have to stand while eating. They also keep some plastic chairs outside thé restaurant due to lack of space. You can, of course, opt for take-away. Overall, a great place to visit if you are a die hard fish fry/fish roll...
