I stumbled across Joy’s instagram page after doing a google search for recommended jewelry shops in Florence. Florence is a city near and dear to my heart. I was hoping to find a special heirloom piece to remember it by and hopefully pass down one day.

I only had two full days in Florence and was so grateful when that Joy opened up her schedule to let me visit her studio on short notice. Joy was so kind and accommodating to communicate with. When we were unfortunately delayed for our appointment due to a plumbing issue at our hotel, she was totally understanding and waited for us. I was SO very appreciative!

Visiting her studio was such a highlight to our trip. It was fascinating to see her studio where all the magic happens. Her pieces are captivating and her story behind them all really adds to that “something special”. She helped me to choose her Per Aspera Ad Astra necklace. The gold is beautiful quality, the brown diamond so unique and I loved her inspiration behind it.

Joy’s thoughtfulness as a person and behind each of her creations are both so memorable. We had the most wonderful time chatting with her and she’s given me a few other ideas to mull over ordering lol!

I had this shop saved and bookmarked for months as a “must visit” shop to visit once I knew we would be in Florence for a few days. It is a wonderful studio filled with beautiful and unique pieces that you can only find here.

I was personally looking for a momento that would remind me of my husband and I’s time in Florence. And also wanted something that was made and inspired by Florence’s rich history and art.

We managed to visit Joy’s shop right before we headed out and found the most perfect ring there. Joy stayed late to help resize the beauty and made sure it was perfect before we went on our way. My husband and I appreciated Joy’s attention to detail and passion for her work. You could immediately tell each piece was crafted with love and inspiration from the city.
