Venchi Cioccolato e Gelato, Firenze Ponte Santa Trinita — Restaurant in Florence

Its a nice store but the way they scoop the gelato is depressing - always underserving, not filling the cup and then meager amounts for the second or third scoop. Not looking to have oversize but a decent, warm-hearted scoop would be better, especially for what you pay. There are better gelato places even just up the street in Piazza Della Passera. Just as update, I gave this place another try. I ordered the 3 scoop cup. The worker again sort of filled the cup with 2 flavors and then for the 3rd, the gelato I chose was super melty and runny except for the last bit at the very front of the tray. The lady chose to get the runny bit instead of getting the firmer gelato at the front of the pan. It was not a scoop but a scape on the cup on top of the meager other two "scoops". Literally a scape. When I said that really isn't a scoop, she just shrugged. She knew it and didn't care to correct it; instead she just said they have larger cups, as if that would correct this problem. Stay away. It's not worth your hard earned money to have a treat here. Go...

Went in to get gelato for our 4 year old. The place was empty except for us and we got a single cone. The lady needs training in talking to customers. Not sure why the tone or absurd behaviour, but the way she spoke to us seemed demeaning. Reading fellow reviewers the employees probably need training on how to speak. We decided to order one more ice cream and her response was “ You could have ordered together”. Why? What made you state or suggest this? Extremely unprofessional and rude staff and definitely with racist tingle in behaviour! This might be good gelato but leaves bad taste in the mouth with arrogant behaviour. Also, the lady was horrible with fake smile plastered on her face with extremely distasteful tone! Our last day in Florence and we wanted to taste the Oh so Great Venchi but this behaviour has made me write this review. Please look into the employees tone and training! Thank you. Also, we tried Gelato in Rome and other places in Florence but this was the only place with such bad experience...
