A must visit shop to try chocolate made in a different way than traditional chocolate. The shop belongs to one of producers of Modica cold-pressed chocolate (town not far from Syracuse). This results in a very different texture, which is much coarser than normal chocolate. The shop assistant was really friendly and provided us with great explanations of different chocolate types. I am often in Ortigia and I always bring my friends and acquaintances to the shop. Chiara and the rest of the team are friendly and professional. They explain how the chocolate is made and are always happy to share their samples. The chocolate is crafted here in Sicily. Ein kleines Paradies für Schokoladenliebhaber!

Was für ein wunderbares Geschäft! Hier dreht sich alles um feinste Süßigkeiten aus Sizilien – und ganz besonders um die berühmte Schokolade aus Modica. Raffaela hat uns mit so viel Leidenschaft und Fachwissen zu den verschiedenen Sorten beraten, dass allein das schon ein Erlebnis war. Besonders toll: Wir konnten eine umfangreiche Verkostung machen und uns durch die unterschiedlichen Geschmacksrichtungen probieren.

Die Schokolade aus Modica ist wirklich etwas ganz Besonderes – handwerklich nach altem Rezept hergestellt, mit einer einzigartigen, leicht körnigen Textur und intensivem Geschmack. Mit unserer gewohnten Supermarkt-Schokolade ist das schlicht nicht zu vergleichen!

Es gibt viele spannende Sorten, aber mein persönlicher Favorit ist die Kardamom-Schokolade – exotisch, aromatisch und einfach himmlisch. Auch die Signature-Schokoladen ("Stadt-Schokoladen") sind absolut empfehlenswert.

Wenn ihr also einmal Schokolade auf ganz neue Art erleben möchtet, dann schaut unbedingt vorbei. Es lohnt sich wirklich – ein Stück sizilianische Genusskultur...
