I was craving something sweet after curry dinner and noticed a hole-in-the-wall (literally) Ice Cream Stand, just a few doors down. Not found on Yelp abyss, however on Google Japan it's highly rated at nearly 5-stars. The menu has a myriad of dessert options, mostly ice cream with traditional Japanese toppings. I chose one of the more popular choices with matcha base and loaded with toppings. After a few minutes it was ready. As a self-described ice cream aficionado, the first lick is everything, *oh my!* as my toes curled on that first lol. I knew immediately that it was highest quality ingredients and the rest of my life would be glorious and happy! In the end, I highly recommend カワバタアイススタンド Kawabata Ice Cream Stand at the iconic Kawabata Street Arcade in Fukuoka. Prices are fair, but the best part was my "When Harry Met Sally" foodgasm scene... her oooo ahh mmmm moment that had me all salivating! じゃあまたね Pls follow my adventures on IG @eric_travel_guru

Put your money into the machine, then choose the ice cream that you want. Then take the receipt and give it to the staff. Don’t forget to take your change if any. And wait till your ice cream is served. There are about 5-6 chairs in front of the shop. You can sit down and eat.

The weather was so hot and luckily there’s a ln indoor area with air con for you to sit in. Felt like it’s the office of another company though. And there’s particular are for you to take photo with the brand name, very thoughtful.
