After touring Sakurajima via ferry and local tour bus, we stopped here for the traditional Japanese onsen. Appreciate Lee.H.C 's review in English and recommendation, we had a lovely time enjoying our first onsen in Kagoshima. Traditional private onsen bath for 500 yen, lovely silky warm water. Having a lovely gentleman there could speak English was very helpful. We all felt so much relaxed and rejuvenate afterwards. This place is highly recommended.Think the sign said it closes on...

You can tell that it’s an old Onsen but still very nice. They offer private baths for 500¥ which is very nice and especially good for people that want to try out Onsen for the first time and are too afraid to go to a public one. The washing area within the private Onsen has only cold water which is kind of a bummer but had a great...

If you want to see a slice of local life and experience sento culture, this place is tops. Don't forget to bring your soap and shampoo! You can buy a small towel for ¥250 if you forget yours. One of the locals in the bath told me that it was the best hot spring water in all...

(English follows Japanese) 😀 市内随一の隠れた名湯。 ♨️ 泉質は柔らかく、かけ流し。温度も丁度いい。 😀個室（家族湯）が1時間で500円。回数券なら400円弱で入れる（2025/6で販売休止）。大浴場もあり、同じ値段。 🧴石鹸類は無いが、そもそもそういうのを求めて来る人には向いていない。ただただお湯と向き合いたい温泉好きにはたまらない楽園。 😀 Hands down the best onsen (hot spring) in Kagoshima. A hidden gem. ♨️ Excellent quality. Fresh, silky soft water flows nonstop. The temperature is just right. 😀 You can have it all to yourself in a private room for just 500 yen (under 400 if you buy tickets in bulk, until June 2025) for 1 hour! There are also larger public baths for the same price. 🧴 You'll have to bring your own soap and towel. If you're looking for amenities and luxury, you've come to the wrong place. But if you truly love onsen, there's no better place for an authentic experience.

受付をされた男性の穏やかで優しい接客に心が和ませられました。 一般浴室も家族風呂もどちらを利用しても大人料金は一人500円。 ただし、家族風呂は一時間の時間制限が有ります。 家族風呂は二人で利用するのがちょうど良いくらいの広さ。味わいのあるタイルやレトロな雰囲気はとても心が落ち着きます。天井の一部が解放されていて太陽光が射し込んで来る雰囲気も良かったです。 家庭用の倍のサイズの浴槽は熱めの褐色のお湯が贅沢に掛け流されています。 海水浴の帰りで猛暑に焼かれて火照ている体を水風呂で冷ましたかったので、水風呂に水を貯めながら体を洗い、一旦熱い温泉に浸かって、1/3ぐらい貯まった水風呂に温泉のお湯を汲み足して快適な温度に調整。のんびりと体を冷やすことが出来ました。 家族風呂は部屋に鍵を掛けられますが一般浴室を利用するときは、貴重品を受付が預かってくださいます。 日曜日のお昼に友人と一般浴槽にも入ってみました。客は私達を含めて３人だけだったので、のんびり過ごせました。 洗い場にカランが無いんで驚きました。 親切な常連さんから、体を洗うときは天井から浴槽に注がれているホース(温泉２本と地下水１本)を使うと良いよって教えてもらいました。 ムチャクチャ贅沢！！ 温泉の湯温も水風呂の水温も丁度良いです。のんびり、ゆったり、ボーっと出来て爆睡しそうになりました。
