Oyado Yukizumi — Local services in Kusatsu

The entrance to the hotel is at the side of the Lawson store. The hotel is small with less than 10 rooms. Everything looks new, neat and tidy. The reception was very warm and check-in was fast. While language was a barrier, it was interesting that the staff made efforts to communicate using an electronic translator device. The staff were superb in their hospitality. The room was reasonably large, very neat, clean and tidy. The bed was comfortable. Breakfast was good and served in the room. There is only a toilet and washbasin in the room. Bathing can be done in the common shower area and hotbath pool located downstairs. The location is directly across the bus terminal; and a short 3 minutes easy walk to the main attraction, namely the Yubatake and the town centre. Wifi is free, so is the hotel car parking. Our overnight stay at this hotel in Kusatsu was simply the best we've experienced in Japan. We arrived a bit early and we were allowed to check in before 3 as there was a room available. The service was excellent, and the room was spacious, complete with all the amenities we needed. Although the shower was located downstairs in the private onsen, it was never crowded, and I had the onsen all to myself. The hotel also provided us with yukatas, adding a lovely traditional touch to our stay.Breakfast was served in our room in the morning, and the staff graciously accommodated our request to change the breakfast time, as we wanted to visit an onsen that opened at 9 AM. The hotel was impeccably clean, and we slept like babies that night.I would love to stay here again on our next visit to Kusatsu....

The location is very walking distance to Yubatake considered strategic. Something new to me, the toilet seat cover automatic up when u approaching. The hotel without bathroom, so u can take the shower at hotel onsen area. Photo of bathroom taken after I confirm nobody is using. During the time I use bathroom only 1-2 people, considered ok for me. We booked 3D2N. They provide delicious welcome drink & dessert, the next day served healthy & yummy breakfast & we came back from outside they served us drink & dessert again.
