It's a small beautiful space and calming spa but to be honest I'm not sure if I booked the wrong treatment or the this is a cultural thing (I am a visitor, and this was my second massage in this country in the past 2 weeks) but the pressure is very light. I booked off a Japanese website that said "body treatment for 90 minutes" but after the spa session, (my friend and I both had the same thing, and it turned out body treatment was just a very gentlerubbing of oil throughout your body (I could barely feel her hands, I fell asleep for a large majority and this normally happens when I feel nothing) . I did ask for greater pressure twice, and when i realized the most she could do was light pressure, I just gave up and hoped it would end faster. What's even stranger is that a portion of this treatment, she took her hands and ran it in between my hair in a zig zag motion. Then she started tugging my hair in the center line, bit by bit. That to me just sealed the deal as the strangest thing I've ever had. She spent quite a few minutes tugging my hair at the roots. I still think she did awesome if all the treatment was, was oil application, but I don't think I'll ever get a spa treatment in japan again. My friend normally takes light to medium pressure, and she said her massage therapist was also too light. We must've just paid for body oil application...
