The room is very spacious, the outdoor onsen is beautiful, breakfast is good, and the staff is kind :) The only two things I didn’t like were: 1- I had a massage (paid 15,000 yen – around 80€). The therapist was very skilled and kind, but the massage was done on the bed, with no music prepared (I used my own playlist), and in the end I got a torticollis from holding my neck up while lying face down. I gave this feedback and the staff apologized, but no price adjustment was offered. For a hotel of this standard, a massage in a regular bed at this price is simply unacceptable. Also no communication about it at checkout just made me feel that they did not care at the end, which was not what I expected about Nazuna. 2-Our room had a private outdoor onsen, but there were windows from another (and two from the same) building facing it. When we asked about this, the staff told us not to worry. Still, we were unsure if people actually used those windows, or if they belonged to the same building or not, and we felt uncomfortable using the onsen — which should be a relaxing experience. Adding more privacy to the onsen area would...
Read moreStayed for 1 night including 1 dinner and 1 breakfast ||Positive: |- the hotel is well decorated with modern comfort but traditional Japanese feeling |- ingredients for dinner and breakfast with local cooking method so have a chance to taste the local |- drinks in mini bar and lounge are also from local Kyoto, which we greatly appreciate so we can have a chance to taste the local| |Negative: service is below average |- dinner and breakfast: staff will cook in front of you but the staff were not well trained. The female staff member preparing our breakfast has long gel nails and cannot tell if the food is cooked or not. She asked how would we like our steak. We requests for medium, she grilled the steak and cut it. The steak is literally raw, then she proposed to grill again and the meat juice already gone |- the quality of the food is so-so, totally not worth for you to pay additional to have that. You can have better options everywhere in Kyoto|- the lounge is very small with the same type of food serving...
Read moreWe booked a 3 night stay with Nazuna and from the moment we arrived we fell in love. This boutique hotel was a short walk from the Kyoto station with a beautiful entrance. They greet you with sake, sparkling wine, water and coffee. They walked us up to our room and showed us all the amenities as well as all the features of the hotel.||They offer complimentary coffee, tea and alcoholic beverages during your stay in your room. We stayed in the superior twin suite and loved the comfortable beds and size of the room. They also have a private onsen to use which was nice after long walking throughout Kyoto.||The breakfast was a highlight as they cook your meat and veggies table-side in their downstairs lobby. The experience was perfect before a day of hiking to shrines and around town.||The staff were so friendly and made the experience a 10/10. Would definitely...
