We came for a quick lunch. At 15:15 we were already seated in the restaurant. Two customers arrived about two minutes after us. They were served first and received their meals before us.

We had been waiting quite a long time, so after 20 minutes we asked for the bill in advance, so we wouldn’t be delayed later because we were rushing for a train. Incredibly, it took three staff members to prepare our bill on a tablet.

We also ordered one drink, which we never received. We asked several times for our soup, stressing with urgency that we had a train to catch, but we only received it at 15:52!!! When leaving, the same staff member who had helped prepare the bill stopped us at the door and refused to let us leave, claiming we hadn’t paid! The other waitress, who had given us the bill, just stood there silently and seemed unsure whether she had actually handed us the bill or not. I showed her the confirmation from my bank, and she stood there, red-faced with shame.

We ordered 2× ramen and 1× shrimp with rice. At least our friend who had the shrimp managed to eat after a whole day without food. But those of us who ordered ramen remained hungry. Of course, the soup was left untouched on the table. And for Japan, the price was quite high for food we couldn’t even eat – 2,800 yen per portion.

Never again. I do not recommend this place to anyone.

私たちは急いで昼食をとるために15時15分にレストランに入り、すでに席についていました。2分ほど後に来たお客さんは、私たちより先に注文を取られ、料理も先に出されました。

私たちはかなり長く待たされ、20分後に「電車に急いでいるので後で時間を取られないように」と会計を先にお願いしました。ところが、タブレットで会計を準備するのにスタッフ3人もかかっていました。

さらに注文したドリンクは最後まで出てきませんでした。電車に乗り遅れるのでスープを急いで持ってきてほしいと何度もお願いしたのに、出てきたのは15時52分!!!でした。

退店の際、なんとその会計を準備していたスタッフが出口で私たちを止め、「まだ支払っていない」と言いました。実際に会計を渡した別の店員は黙って立っていて、自分が会計をしたのかどうかすら分かっていない様子でした。私は銀行の支払い確認画面を見せて、ようやく彼女は顔を真っ赤にして立ち尽くしていました。

私たちはラーメンを2つとエビご飯を1つ注文しました。エビご飯を頼んだ友人だけは丸一日食べていなかったのでやっと食べられましたが、ラーメンを頼んだ私たちは結局食べられず、空腹のままでした。もちろんスープは全く手をつけずに残しました。しかも、日本にしては値段が高すぎます。食べられなかったのに、1人前2,800円！

二度と行きません。誰にもおすすめできません。

Prišli sme na rýchly obed. O 15:15 sme sedeli v reštaurácii. Dve zákazníčky prišli asi dve minúty po nás. Ony boli obslúžené ako prvé a jedlo dostali skôr.

My sme čakali už celkom dlho, tak sme si po 20 minútach vypýtali účet, aby sme sa potom nezdržiavali platením, pretože sme sa ponáhľali na vlak. Ten účet pripravovali na tablete traja ľudia.

Priobjednali sme si k jedlu aj jeden nápoj, ktorý sme nikdy nedostali. Polievku sme pýtali s naliehavosťou, že sa ponáhľame na vlak, niekoľkokrát. Dostali sme ju až o 15:52!!! Pri odchode nás tá istá obsluha, ktorá pomáhala pripravovať účet, zastavila a nechcela nás pustiť, s tým, že sme nezaplatili! Druhá čašníčka, ktorá nám účet dala, iba ticho stála a vyzeralo to tak, že ani nevie, či nám účet odovzdala alebo nie. Ukázala som jej potvrdenie z mojej banky a ostala tam stáť celá červená od hanby.

Objednali sme si 2× ramen a 1× krevety s ryžou. Aspoň kamarátka, ktorá mala krevety, sa po celom dni najedla. My, čo sme mali ramen, sme ostali hladné. Samozrejme, polievku sme nezjedli, ostala celá na stole. A cena na Japonsko bola celkom vysoká na to, že sme nezjedli – 2 800 jenov za jednu porciu.

This charming little eatery served me a lunch that I will never forget. I swore that I would not leave Japan without tasting the flesh of a mighty whale (strictly taboo back home in San Francisco). The friendly staff here did not disappoint. I was served a platter of assorted whale sashimi for only ¥2800. Each cut has a distinct shape, color, flavor and texture. Above and beyond presenting me with a succulent meal, the waitress complimented my Japanese. . Pro tip: if your wife is a bit faint of heart, send her out shopping while you enjoy...

Had the Eel meal set and my partner went for the katsu and tempura set. They were very tasty and well presented. The staff was nice and there was a great atmosphere. A place with a tv and nice bar where locals also come as regulars. It was slightly more expensive then you might pay for a common bowl of gyuudon, but it...
