Feedback on the defect of the purchased shoes

Based on my trust in Japanese craftsmanship, I did not inspect the shoes carefully at the time of purchase. However, after returning home and taking the shoes out of the box, I noticed the creases shown in the attached photo.

I believe this issue may have been caused either by the shoebox being too small (I purchased the size, 29cm ) or by the lack of any stuffing inside the shoes to maintain their shape.

I hope the store can address this issue to prevent other customers from having a similarly disappointing...
