We got the clam and oyster soba, chicken char siu rice bowl with butter, and the chicken paitan with truffle. Generally the soup was good but personally thought the noodles were OK.
The soup for the clam and oyster soba was great. All the favours were well balanced and very rich. I thought the noodles tasted too much of egg much which I thought didn't go well with the soup. The strong flavours of the noodles distracted me from enjoying the excellent broth.
The chicken char siu rice bowl was my least favourite dish. The chicken was tasteless but because it was charred all I tasted was the char. I also didn't think the soy sauce didn't enhance any flavours of the rice bowl. Towards the end it felt like I was eating truffle flavoured butter with rice with a dash of sweet soy sauce since the chicken was tasteless.
The chicken paitan with truffle was surprisingly well-balanced. In other establishments I’ve been to, they tend to overdo the truffle flavour.
At almost 1700 yen it was a good experience trying it but will be...
Read moreOrdered the Truffle Chicken Soba, the soup was rich and flavorful, yet surprisingly light, paired with the thick perfectly cooked noodles. Despite the thickness of both the soup and the noodles, we devoured down to the very last slurp with ease – didn't make us bloated at all.
The flavors were beautifully balanced. The truffle added a extra layer of flavour without overpowering the soup base. The meat itself was tender and juicy, and the vegetables weren't just there to appetise visually; they added pops of freshness and richness to the meal. It was clear that every element in this bowl was carefully considered.
Finding the shop was a bit of an adventure – it's located inside LUCUA shopping mall on level B2F next to the escalator, with the queue could start a bit below it. We went for a late dinner on Sunday around 9 pm and encountered a fair queue, waiting about 30 minutes to be seated. Thankfully, the service was prompt and efficient, getting our...
Read moreThis was absolutely phenomenal. We happened to pass by because we noticed a line forming even before the place had opened. We saw a 3.9 star rating so I was gonna give it a miss but my husband convinced me to come back and boy am I glad. This was probably the most delicious and unique ramen of our 10 day trip. We had the truffle chicken ramen which was extremely thick and creamy. The broth was also very heavy so while I enjoyed the first couple of bites immensely, it got too much for me quite quickly. The other order was the clam and oyster ramen and I have to say this was my favourite. Just as umami and flavour explosion as the chicken truffle but not quite as heavy and just enjoyable all the way through.
If you have some extra space in your belly, I also highly recommend ordering a small bowl of chicken butter rice and mixing in the different broths like a ochazuke. It changed it up again.
Absolutely worth a stop. You...
