Guess who has two thumbs and had freshly made Takoyaki...this guy. Is it award winning? I wouldn't know. Is there better? probably, always is. Did they put up with me not knowing any Japanese? Yes with a friendly smile. Did they have warnings in various languages about it being hot and not to eat it in one go which I promptly ignored? Yes. If you want 5 star dining with gourmet takoyaki at exorbitant prices then look elsewhere but if you want a takoyaki fix at a cheap price (in my opinion) then guess who has two thumbs and knows a place HE'LL DEFINATELY GO BACK...

Best Takoyaki in town, hands down ! We came across this restaurant by chance on our first evening in Osaka, and were delighted (careful it’s hot inside !). We tried another restaurant in Namba on our last night in town and it was really bad. We came all the way back to Umeda to taste Tanjiro’s takoyaki, we weren’t disappointed...

I stumbled upon this takoyaki place and fancied a snack, and being the second day in Osaka I thought it was a good time to have some. Lovely takoyaki, as hot as lava so do be careful when eating. ¥450 for five balls, very reasonably priced for some lovely takoyaki.

I’ve tried Takoyaki from bunch of famous shops in okasa but honestly this might have been the best Takoyaki I’ve had in Osaka. So much complexity in this little balls and it’s delicious even when it gets cold. If you are in Umeda area, definitely give this place a shot. It’s only ¥500 and u can eat in or take it to go. Highly recommended

I’ve tried Takoyaki from bunch of famous shops in okasa but honestly this might have been the best Takoyaki I’ve had in Osaka. So much complexity in this little balls and it’s delicious even when it gets cold. If you are in Umeda area, definitely give this place a shot. It’s only ¥500 and u can eat in or take it to go. Highly recommended
