A Cut Above — Local services in Tokyo

I just came from this salon a while ago, and it was an amazing experience! It was my first trip to the salon since the pandemic, and I was looking for an English- speaking salon. I stumbled upon their website and they had good reviews here in Google. Yuta- san gave me a haircut, and it was fabulous! I showed him the haircut I wanted and he did just that, then he kindly asked if he can add something to the style. I gladly said yes, and I LOVE my haircut! He had very gentle hands while cutting and handling my hair and it felt so comfortable that I immediately relaxed and was close to falling asleep, hehe! They also made sure that they have a one-on- one session with their customers, so that they can give them their undivided attention, unlike going to a big salon. I am very happy with my haircut and styling. During the consultation he was very responsive and gave suggestions. He even pulled up multiple reference images for me to give me an idea of what he would do. At multiple steps in the actual cutting process he would check in and ask if this was the length/style/cut I wanted. If I was unsure, he would give me options or ask if he could choose himself. English skills were very good and there were no communication issues. He washed my hair twice (once before the cut and once after cutting), which I’ve never experienced in the US. I strongly recommend this place ! I'm usually a very anxious person but everyone there is incredibly nice and will make sure you are comfortable at any moment, so I've never felt stressed while being there !

My hairstylist was Yutaka Mizuzoe and his work is amazing. He is hardworking and will treat every millimeter of your hair with attention and care. I was impressed with how passionate he is about his work : you can clearly see that he is trying his best to bring the best out of your hair ! He took care of cutting my hair multiple times and I’ve been very very pleased everytime. He is also very friendly and can speak english so if you can’t speak japanese, it’s still fine !
