The staff at this store—one very tall male employee named Oka—has an extremely bad attitude. Everyone, please be cautious before coming to this store.
The day before, I bought a pair of shoes here. The next day, I decided to come back again, holding a small box of fries in my hand. I wasn’t eating them—just holding them—and there were only a few pieces left. As soon as I walked to the back of the store waiting to pick up my shoes, Oka, who was standing at the cashier, suddenly yelled at me very loudly, “Go out! Go out!”
As a Canadian, I replied in English, “What?” because I wasn’t eating anything. But he kept shouting even louder, in a very rude and aggressive way: “No eating! Go out! Go out!” His tone was completely disrespectful and totally lacking in manners. The whole store heard it—it was humiliating. There are cameras in the store, so everything is recorded.
A store employee yelling at a customer like that, as if yelling at a dog or a servant, is absolutely unacceptable. I honestly don’t understand how someone with such behavior could be hired here. I have a heart condition, and after being shouted at like that, I almost called the police and an ambulance when I got outside because I was so shaken.
After calming down for a bit, I went back inside to file a complaint. Oka was still laughing during my complaint—extremely disrespectful and unprofessional. Then I spoke to the store manager, but the manager gave me no response at all and didn’t indicate any intention to take action or discipline this employee.
I sincerely hope the store manager or higher management reads this and provides a proper resolution or an official apology. Otherwise, I will be filing formal complaints with the Consumer Protection Agency and the Atom headquarters.
