   Read moreThis place feels completely dead and desertedessentially a brand-new ruin. Most of the stores have closed down, leaving many empty spaces available for rent.Thereâs still a Starbucks, an overpriced grocery store (Tokyo), a bookstore, and a Kaldi open, but thatâs about it. I was shocked by how empty it was and by the apparent lack of effort from the owners to attract new tenants or visitors.
Although the building is newly constructed in 2024, right now itâs nothing more than a collection of escalators with little reason to visit. When Iâm in Tokyo, I just skip this building entirely; itâs an abyss of nothingness, losing both money and potential customers due to poor management.

   Read moreThis place does not deserve 5 stars but let me explain. This is not a place you go out of your way to visit regardless how good it looks in youtube video. Sakura Stage by itself deserves 3 stars max. But it is how everything comes together in this part of Shibuya.
I got some food and drinks and brought them up and enjoyed a quieter evening here. In someway it felt a bit dystopian to be sitting near a fake LED lit sakura trees but if you ignore that it's a nice light show.
There is a lot do see and eat if you explore this area. As such Sakura Stage is a bit weird but welcome...
