Sports shop Gallery 2 Shibuya — Local services in Tokyo

I initially had a great experience, bought a Patrick Spalding Size 1 Ball, and the 3 young staff was very friendly serving me as a Japanese speaking tourist.

Turns out the item was defected, I came back 2 days later to ask for a trade but the staff handling me (older guy, beard starting to gray) looked rude from the moment I raised my hand for help.

He looked at me and said "What do you want?" in quite a rude tone, never mind apologizing for a defective product.

He basically told me to "take care of it yourself", so I went to the item section and took a replacement (The Patrick one was sold out so I had to pick the Spongebob one) which was not what I wanted but better than a dented basketball

He handled the new receipt documenting, then he gave me the new receipt without any apologies or thank you, not even looking me in the eye

I had no intention of being rude or a fussy customer but he acted like I was. I hope the store can evaluate this man, because he is ruining the store experience.

I will definitely come back to Gallery 2, but if I see this man again then I will buy it in another store.

Gallery 2 posted on their instagram on April 27, the Jordan 4 UNC would be one per person. I called and confirmed they would have my size and they said "yes." Today, I traveled over an hour away to Shibuya, arrived an hour before opening and waited. Right before the store opened, a staff member came outside and told me they changed it to a raffle last night at 8pm, and I had to apply online. This is terrible false, misinformation provided by the store. Not only was it their post that led me to go all the way into the heart of the pandemic, I called and they said it would be available. Horrible, unprofessional service! They could only say sorry, and the manager wouldn't even speak to me, as he was in a more important meeting, than a paying loyal customer. I'm done with this store. Had a great experience at this store - first and foremost they have such a large range of merchandise and as a big fan of the NBA, I was looking for up to date merch, which they had!

Secondly, the customer service I received was excellent from both the staff that served me. One young gentleman that spoke English was very friendly and helped find all the merch I wanted and the other helped fit me with an ankle guard I wanted but found hard to find a size that fit.

Lastly in terms of the layout of the store, it was wide and easy to find a lot of the things I was looking for.
