Hikiniku no Toriko Shibuya Store offers a delightful dining experience that's sure to satisfy any cravings for delicious hamburg steak in the heart of Shibuya, Tokyo. During my recent visit, I was impressed by the restaurant's offering of unlimited rice, allowing patrons to fully indulge in their meal. The option to crack an egg (also free of charge) and mix it with the steak added a delightful touch to the dining experience.

It was a symphony of taste, leaving me craving for more. The quality of the meat was evident, as it takes about 15 minutes to prepare the steak once you order.

The store can be a little hard to find as it's located at the bottom of some very steep stairs and signage seems a little limited. I was standing outside the store and still didn't realised it was there.

The restaurant main does big chunky hanburg steak sets. You'll also see eggs places in the middle of the restaurant, you can take one if your meal set includes it.

Food comes out fast, and their patties come out juicy and not dry at all. They have 7 or 8 condiments to go with your meat and staff will recommend you try pieces of your pattie with each condiment to get a different taste. Definitely give their sodas a try as I think they are all house made.

I ordered the standard set which was priced at ¥1,650 when I visited back in April this year. It comes with the hamburg steak, a bowl of white rice and miso soup. They also have raw eggs available for self serve and I’d highly recommend cracking one of these on top of the rice!

On your table you will also find a range of condiments available to pair with the hamburg. All of them were yum but my favourite pairing was just plain wasabi.
