Very common metro station in Tokyo. Quite busy one at times. The problem here is the oedo line. You need to change at this station in order to stay on the same train. And it's not on a common platform. You have to go up some stairs and back down. How to go where and what you have to do in each situation is not clear, and it's quite likely that someone not used to the place will make mistakes. In short : be very very careful and plan before if you need to use the oedo line and commute through...

The Oedo line station close from JR Shinjuku, about a bit less than a kilometer west from it. The officers are very friendly and helpful. Don't try anything offensive or suspicious that draws the attention of officers which can land you in trouble. The #TokyoMetropolitanObservatory is easily accessed thru the Tocho-mae Station (#OedoSubwayLine) located at the basement of the #TokyoMetropolitanGovernmentBuilding.

It's an absolutely stunning, gorgeous station. Beautiful interior. Quiet, peaceful, clean. I wish I could visit every day. The Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building is gorgeous, too. Workers there are very polite and kind. Observatory is very sweet to look at Tokyo from. I love you, Tochomae Station.
