Kawamura — Local services in Tokyo

Food here are just fine but the price is doubled of those same things from Ueno station. If you feel hungry, go take train to Ueno (2 stations away).

I ordered a duck soup soba and a soba tempura set. They costed me 3300 yen. Make your own judgement by the attached photos. I would say, not worth it.

Duck soup soba: 4 small slices of meat, not tender, soup is a bit tasteless - 1500 Tempura soba set: one shrimp, one slice of carrot, one quarter of green pepper, soba... normal - 1800

Also, the waitress was not friendly at all, bad mood all the time and the serving speed was slow too. Kinda waited 20mins after ordered (All tables were served).

Environment is okish, all table seats. The alcohol table cleaning spray smell is bad, smell...

The soba is delicious. The draft beer Shirohonoka (Sapporo) surprised me by how good it is. If you visit Yanaka, this is one of the better places to eat. Follow this with dessert at Chocolatier Inamura Shozo. Or drinks at the Yanaka Beer Hall (15 minute walk).

If you read the lower ratings, people say "this is over-priced" or you can get more food for your money in a different neighborhood. They are correct. But would you say a Michelin Star restaurant is terrible because the portions are too small for the price? Take a different perspective, if you are on vacation or making a trip to see Yanaka, lots of walking and it is time for lunch, would you then go to the next town...

にゃっぽり谷中方面の改札を出てすぐ！ 老舗かなと思ってたけど、 リニューアルしててめちゃ綺麗だった！

中も広々、椅子すわりやすい〜 汗だくだくつるりお蕎麦啜りにきたよ！

まず、すぐに出してくれるのが 冷たいそば茶でうれしい。おいしー

平日お昼の時間帯でも、ランチ的なセットとかは今はないみたい。 値上がりしてて、なにか付けるとまぁまぁ値は張るかんじね。

香りそばに惹かれつつ、正直なところ、 値段見て満足感薄かったら残念すぎるなぁと思ってしまって
