worst shopping experience in Japan. Extremely crowded and difficult to browse. Finally I went to the tax free cashier, who told me I didn't buy enough items to qualify for the discount. went to the 3rd floor, found another item, then the automated (with tax) showed me a price that was eligible for tax free, so the assistant there sent me to the tax free line again. The 3rd floor tax free line directed me to the first floor again, where I stood in line AGAIN, only for the machine there to show a different price that is not eligible for the discount.
I told this to the cashier, who called the other cashier, who called a third cashier, at this point I realised this is going nowhere. I asked how much it costs with tax and if I can just pay it, and they didn't understand the question. At this point I realised it's a waste of time and just left the store.
There are other Uniqlo branches in Japan which are much calmer and don't act so...
Read moreI got a very bad shopping experience today. The shop is a flagship store. I came here from HK for vacation and brought my family to visit the shop. My parents are old with walking stick and wheelchair. When we are looking for clothes and took time to do fitting and measuring, my parents were waiting for us in shop such as corner, wall which with enough space. But they had been interrupted by staff (at least 2 times) and ask them not to stay there. My parents can’t communicate with them and felt so embrassing to sit on wheelchair in the shop and disturbed other customers. But I felt we didn’t disturb other customers and they should be treated fairly. I also had a feeling that they were discriminating customers like my parents who are disabled and old. As a well-known brand in Japan, I really don’t expect this shopping experience. My parents were so upset and don’t want to go anywhere today. This really made me so...
Read moreThe Uniqlo Flagship store HATES to see me comin. My god I went CRAZY here. I came to Japan with an empty suitcase and re-upped on all my basics at this Uniqlo. I literally got a whole new wardrobe here to the point where I’m going to have to buy another suitcase.
The quality of their items in Japan is SO much better than in the US, and everything is cheaper. These quality jeans are under $20, I got two nice heavy coats for $29 each. Tax free if you have your passport too…
I felt like I was robbing a bank. I got so overstimulated in here lol. I actually need to throw out so many clothes when I get back to my tiny NYC apartment. Good problems though, good problems.
SHOUTOUT TO THE QLO!!
