This place is a tourist trap. If you live in Tokyo and you have visitors coming who have never been to Japan before, then fine bring them here for the novelty, but the food is not very good, and the service is mediocre. I came here with my Japanese friend who suggested it as my partner was new to Japan, so we thought it would be fun to bring him here to see a pseudo old-timey Japanese restaurant (I had been once before, but i had been several years before). My partner ordered a beef Katsu dish and karaage, he thoroughly enjoyed both - but to be honest it's pretty hard to screw up karaage. My friend and I shared some sushi orders, but the fish didn't seem that fresh, and the negitoro was downright fishy smelling - which is a bad sign. My Japanese friend's family own a restaurant so I feel validated in my disappointment of the food. If you feel absolutely compelled to try this place, I suggest avoiding any sushi/sashimi dishes as the freshness is questionable. The place was very busy and they were having issues with the QR codes for ordering, not the fault of the staff, but they should have had a backup system in place instead of just waiting for their online system to be fixed. The longer it took to place food orders, the closer we got to "last order." Overall, will...
Read moreTERRIBLE FOOD, NOISY RESTAURANT. Don’t recommend at all! I believed that no restaurants in Japan would have bad food until coming here!
I booked this restaurant for new year’s eve in the hope that I would eat something good to go to the next year with new and good energies. Before booking it, I search here in google and tabelog and was so happy to be able to make a reservation on such a well regarded restaurant! Unfortunately, that was not the case. A soon as I got to my table with my family, I was surprised with some shouting coming from other tables that would continue until the end of my stay.
When the food started coming there was another surprise, the FOOD WAS TERRIBLE! It didn’t feel fresh at all and the taste was obnoxious. I regret so much the menu of 15 dishes that I had booked, 15 terrible dishes. And the worst of all, it was really expensive, 27000 Yen. If I payed 1000 at a convenience store I could have eaten better food!

Read moreOrdering was really fast. I went with my partner on a reserved time. Took probably 10-15 minutes per order (2-3 dishes each time). You order online and have 2 hours to eat there.
No shoes - they have you take them off to get inside. Seating is nice on cushions and you can hang up your coats.
I think the reviews are right about the food quality though. It was a bit questionable as some dishes were very oily or had really weird texture I did not know about from the menu before hand. Friendly staff though!
Wi-Fi is given at 60 minute increments but you just need to sign up again afterwards.
You need to put your shoes back on to get to the bathroom or barrow slippers.
Overall, I would go again with a larger group of friends. We stopped ordering for a bit and the waiter pushed us to order faster or to leave. We didn't eat fast enough to stay the...
