AVOID AT ALL COST. Your time will be wasted. Waiting for 2.5hours, came up with disappointment.
Ordered chicken, clams, rice, butter squid and veggie. After 2 hours, only 1 comes out. The squid comes in first but wrong recipes. Instead they send us fried squid. We argued that they go the wrong dish. 2 staff comes to confirm. They apologise and we said ok. We just take it because we’re really hungry. Few minutes later the correct dish comes in. Now we argued again. They seem confused. Seemed they are not communicating among staff. In the end we didn’t take it because scared they will charge us more. But its not on us. The previous dish was assigned by us with apologies from the boss. Now the correct dish come outs and then we dont know what to do with it! Third dish comes out after that, and still waiting. In the end we didn’t get the rest. Chicken veggie and RICE not even out. Customer next table recently sat and got their chicken done. What in a world…
We couldn’t take it any more and just finish the clam without rice then go pay. Argue again , they said the dish is cooking. But mention to them that we have been waiting for so long.
What a disaster. Again, please avoid...
Read moreRM88 for 2 pax. Ordered 3 dishes which was steamed fish (rm27), deep fried squid (rm35), and 4king veggie with rice and coconut drink.
View was nice and calm during the sunset. Food tastes good, they confirmed the fish size with us from their tank before cooking (small fish~ rm27), and it has a really fresh taste. Deep fried squid was nice too, the meat was nicely chewy and it has a light batter. The 4 kings veggie was really good too, we ordered the sambal type. Finally their coconut drink is very refreshing and nice, with some flesh that you can request the waiter to cut open after finished drinking and i recommend getting the chilled/cold one.
Overall i think its a nice place. Glad it wasn’t as crowded or scammy like other seafood places nearby. Just the price is on the higher side, and if you’re sitting at the outside area, there might be some beggars or the sea gypsies either hard selling their products to you, or just begging for money especially the kids carrying around babies to get attention and sympathy. So it can get uncomfortable...
Read moreHad dinner twice at this restaurant. It’s one of the few that will prepare seafood purchased elsewhere for a fee. At around RM20 per 1 Kg. Cooking style is more Malay. The husband/wife team was really friendly and helpful and the staff were attentive. A huge table of seafood cost us around $100 including lobsters, crabs, mantis shrimps and grouper. We tried a few different cooking methods and sauces and they were all very yummy. It’s located on the main pier next to the seafood market. If you are sitting a bit further away from the restaurant (they will add tablets for additional guests) be mindful of your belongings as there are usually quite a lot of beggar kids hanging around asking for food and money. They were harmless but just be careful...
