Seaview Seafood Restaurant — Restaurant in Borneo

Food was terrible. Empty aquariums, only fresh fish available was the ikan kerapu. We ordered their sotong dishes, but turns out they used frozen squid! WHAT KIND OF SEAFOOD RESTAURANT THAT USES FROZEN SQUID FOR THEIR MAIN DISH??? We ended up not finishing the food and pack it up, only to throw it away because the waitress coughed on it.

The servers are just terrible. One was laughing loudly and flirting outside, another was busy taking selfies just a table away, and yet she still didnt notice us calling her. They weren’t attentive or helpful much.

Only thing good was the pisang...

This restaurant deserves definitely a way better review. Food is tasty, portions are large, waiters are friendly even if not as skilled as you might be used to in Kl but hey, this is Borneo! People here are on holiday, not on a business trip. Higher turnaround times should not lead to such a low rating.

Upsides: Corner lot, providing you with a lot of space. Not as dense as other restaurants' seating area and all tables are directly exposed to the seaview.

Price is low to medium: A group of six eat for 230-260 MYR with plenty of seafood and BBQ fish.

Went here last week. Ordered like usual. Our drinks arrived in 20min; the food didn't even come after about waiting for 50 MINUTES. But then we realized that all the foreigners who came after us got their food served faster compared to us, the locals.

Asked the waiter where the food and they simple said the fish is just about to be cooked???? Like it took you 50MINUTES to start cooking after we waited for so long. And after 1 HOUR AND 20 MIN, we just paid for the drinks only.

Not recommended if you're locals because this place priority is for the tourist...
