Rakuzen IOI Mall Damansara — Restaurant in Petaling Jaya

I have been dining to this outlet more than 10 times this year (average once a month). Mainly because I like the ambiance, good service and quality food.

Last week I had another dinner with my partner and we ordered Teishoku (dinner set) which is the salmon sashimi zen, tomago (egg rolls), sashimi salad, stamina roll (grill eel & avacado) & asari miso shiru (miso soup with clams). My personal favourite is their stamina roll because the eel taste so good and I always order the same every time we come here.

As we always come here for dinner on the weekday, no need to do reservation. I find the service here very efficient and attentive, especially Samantha who is my favourite waitress. She seems to have a very interesting character, very polite, great customer service skills and I can tell she enjoys doing her job very much. Made my dining experience more memorable every time she serves our table. I cant wait for my next dinner...

First time having Sukiyaki without the fire below boiling the soup, within seconds upon food arrival, the soup is cold, the Angus beef floating was already overcooked. Don’t even know how to dip the meat into my raw egg to enjoy. Wasted the raw egg.

Found hair in the chawanmushi, seriously cleanliness have serious issues! Photos are the proof. Taken out to put on the baby’s plate to show the clear picture!

Service was super slow as I’ve pressed the bell 3 times.

As representing Rakuzen, this branch seriously needs some professional manager out there to train all the staffs here again.

Overall the food was acceptable, except for my sukiyaki and hair in the chawanmushi.. seriously first time.. unable to accept, drinking cold and sweet soup.. and having to scoop up the hair in the chawanmushi..

2 weeks ago I went here with my family and sat at a window view table with an amazing view, guided and greeted by a really polite Chinese gentleman with a great attitude!

We have ordered few dishes that is recommended from a waitress with a duck on her head and I absolutely am impressed by her service skills, the way she describes the food and translate the order for us is really thoughtful of her, immediate 5 star services

Sadly I didn't get to know her name as it was pretty busy, but I really am greatful for her serving our table that time, she really have the capability on handling childrens that she manage to cheer my 5 years old daughter up by the little duckling on her head which is a very adorable moment :)
