This is not a typical tourist restaurant. The China chef cooking style is similar to what we tasted in Hong Kong and Canton province, lighter seasoning as compared to local heavy cooking style which tend to cover the fresh meat taste of the seafood. Seafood price in Semporna is very cheap compared to Kuala Lumpur, for example Su Mei fish and Flower lobster would cost around RM680 per KG in KL and in Semporna is around RM330 per KG; What I like about this restaurant is that it is very honest with the weight of seafood served (we had bad experience in Semporna with 1 restaurant which served far less lobster meat than we ordered, around 600g instead of 1 KG - I suspect the weight scale has been manipulated). Read more10/10 – A must-try seafood spot! This place has completely raised the bar for seafood. Since eating here, I can’t help but compare every other seafood place to it—and nothing else quite measures up. Every dollar spent felt totally worth it. The food was incredibly fresh, flavorful, and left me both full and craving more. Highly recommend!
My favourite is the Mantis Shrimp and their mala Fish (goes really well with rice). If you go snorkeling, you should order their horfun or seafood fried rice to go (or a combo of both if you are indecisive)!
