Best whale watching tours ever!!! With marine biologist guides and experienced boat captains who are both clearly fantastic at, and love, their jobs and the majestic marine mammals they encounter and help to educate guests about.
I took two Zodiac tours solo with Whale Watch Cabo, then came back with a friend for a boat tour because I had such amazing experiences the first day. I’ve been whale watching in San Diego, and Maui in season and never came this close or been able to see such spectacular activity as I have in Cabo - multiple breaches, fin slapping, dives with flukes up in slow motion.
The guides are not only informative and entertaining, they also come prepared with long lens cameras to shoot great photos of whales that they share with you for free via Dropbox after the tour. My favorite guide was Nacho, marine biologist from Spain - he knows where to find the active whales, is hilarious while clearly passionate about his work, shares fun facts about whales along the trip, and can answer any question you might have about whales. I would definitely book more tours with him next time I’m back in Cabo!
As for timing, I recommend the early morning tours because the waters are calmer, less boats are around, and especially when you pass by the Land’s End arch, the captain stops for you to take photos and you can get the cleanest shots / have longer time to take good ones in the morning when there isn’t a pile up of boats rushing to push in...
Read moreFamily owned and operated, this business is top-notch from booking through to the tour. They are very responsive, and the guides are professionals with marine biology degrees. Not only is their knowledge plentiful, but they also take all the pictures for you! Instead of worrying about pictures, this completely allowed us to actually enjoy the tour to the fullest! The best part? They are FREE! The tour guide takes them with a huge camera and lens, and within a couple of hours, a link was sent to our email of every picture. They are high quality and full resolution. Truly great pictures and even caught it when a whale fully breached out of the water! We were on a cruise ship and booked this on our own. We arrived in Cabo at 6:30am and tendered to the marina. From there, we walked about 20 minutes and easily made an 8am reservation. Afterward, we had plenty of time to walk around and make it back by 1:30 pm. We saved not only a lot of money by booking this tour ourselves, but the pictures alone make this tour very worth it! Even if time had been tight, they would've dropped us off at the tenders to save us the walk back. They take care of everything. I highly, highly recommend...
Read moreFirst of all, if you haven't been whale watching, you MUST! It is an absolutely beautiful experience, and if you do it with this company, even more. They are a top-notch service worth every penny. From their office to their boats and their staff, they made this experience unforgettable.
The boats are a good size and very comfortable, and even when the tour is full, you won't feel like it's crowded.
There is plenty of space for everyone, so you are able to see the whales no matter which side of the boat you are on. They also make it a priority to be far away from other tour boats, so when we went to the spots where we would watch the whales, we were the only boat around. It truly does make for a grand experience, and it is very much appreciated.
Our tour guides were Oscar and Alonso, besides their amazing service, they are very well prepared people with tons of knowledge. Oscar is a marine biologist, so any and all questions were answered. They were both super charismatic and funny, so it was an all-around, full 5-star service experience.
I could go on forever, but honestly, you won't regret it if you decide to go with this company. In fact,...
