I'm getting the sense that many of the positive reviews are from friends or coworkers. I've been in here about 5 times this visit to Cabo, and it's always something with a very basic order. Coffee, cream and sugar on the side. They put the cream and some low-cal sweetener that tastes weird in my coffee, I go get another one. I get the brown sugar and she pours the milk in my coffee--can I do it myself so I get exactly the amount I like? I give up, the barista doesn't pay attention or follow basic instructions. A few weeks ago I came in on a Tuesday night and probably waited 40 minutes for a vanilla latte with a friend who wasn't getting a drink. I apologized to her numerous times--I had all the time in the world to. First to order, then for it to be made. 3 people working, not much of a rush. These employees would be wasted working a busy store. They would quit a drive...
Read moreI'm a regular customer and I live in PV, everytime I get the travel box I get either 8 regular cups or 12 200ml cups and so far I get cream AND milk for free. Somehow here in Cabo this doesn't work like this. Asked Marlene to give me 12 cups and said she could only give me 8, then asked if she could sell me some extra cups then and she refused without giving any option, then I was asked what type of milk and I asked for delactosed and also asked for cream, she asked me what size, I asked if this wasn't for free and she said no without giving an option or trying to empathize a bit. I was shocked since at any Starbucks you go, staff is usually OUTSTANDING and WONDERFUL. I also thought all processes and orders were standardized since it's a big and successful chain. Well, not here in Cabo. Really awkward and disappointing...
Read moreI'm normally happy with Starbucks for a consistent cup of coffee and reasonable wait times. I came in at 4pm and for some reason a line with only 2 customers in front of me took 10 minutes. No clue why the transactions would take that long. Then I get to the counter and am told they have no drip brewed coffee to sell. Easy problem to solve guys. Ended up getting an Americano and waiting an additional 5-10 minutes for that. Also, given that this is in the heart of a touristy area in a town built on tourism, I would have expected a cashier that speaks fluent or moderately fluent English. Wasn't a major problem for me but just a bit strange for the area and seemed to be an issue for the customers after me...
