I dont like to leave negative reviews, and I reached out to the hotel again this morning to try to resolve the issue before leaving a review. They said I was threatning them, but I was actually giving them a chance to fix the situation. I booked this hotel on Expedia because they said they have a pool and showed pics of said pool. I get there and there is no pool (among other negative differences compared to whats on expedia). I immedietly cancelled and was only there for less than 20 minutes while I dealt with expedia. I have video proof with a time stamp showing I checked into my Airbnb less than 20 minutes after I arrived at Cabo Inn (I have the exact time from my uber drop off). Cabo Inn still charged me for 1 night even though they had false advertising. They also told Expedia they wouldnt refund me because I was there for more than 3 hours. Again, untrue and I have screenshots of Expedia telling me they said that and as I mentioned proof of the time iarrived and the time I arrived at my new accomidation one block away. Beware of this shady place. I wouldnt be leaving this review if I couldnt 100% back up my claims. eta: the owner is 100% lying about me being there 2 hours. (after they lied and told Expedia 3-- this further proves he is dishonest). In regards to the size of the pool, or how often it was used in the past is irrelavent. I have a brain tumor and am legally disabled. I often do not leave the hotel property due to this so I rely on accurate information, not excuses and lies after the fact. How close they are to the ocean doesnt matter to me as I can not go into the ocean due to balance issues from my disability. This is another reason a small pool was important to me. Saying I am reaching out before leaving a negative review and giving them a chance to reply first and letting them know I would rather leave a review about their great customer service is not extortion. Its me being fair and reaching out to the business defore leaving a bad review. Their pool is listed on every booking site, not just the spanish version of Expedia. I am not talking old photos, it was listed as a current feature of the hotel. Please do not try to shame someone for expecting something that was listed. The owner admitted its listed and not there but still charged me for one night, and then lied about how long I was there. Again, I have proof what time my uber dropped me off and what time I arrived at my new Airbnb. This is the defination of shady and...
Read moreMy boyfriend and I are always looking for deals when we travel. So initially we chose this place for two reasons. The first reason was because it was very reasonably priced ($50 a night) and the second is because it was near everything. It's located walking distance to the Marina, shopping, restaurants and nightlife. Most of the rooms are named after a famous painter and each room will have a painting on the wall from said painter. Most of the rooms were very small. However, because I'm nosy I was able to see two other rooms that offered a bit of a different style. The room next to ours was set up for a larger family. It had two rooms and a kitchenette. Then there was a room up stairs that was really cool. It was more of a romantic set-up. It had a really cute private patio. The only thing I didn't like about that room is it wasn't all the way in enclosed. All I could think about was, how do you keep out the bugs. LOL. Either way it was a very cute and romantic room. In the smaller rooms I love that they have a space under the bed to store your luggage so that you're not tripping over it. The hotel is set up almost like a small apartment building with a communal courtyard and outside kitchen for the residents use. The hotel has three levels the bottom level, the second floor and the top level. On the top level there is a small pool, resident bathroom and another communal area for residents to hang out. You can enjoy a cold dollar beer from the reception room while playing a game of connect four on their large connect four game. The layout of the hotel is set up in such a communal way that you are bound to make a new friend or two which we did. If there is someone staying in the top level suite they close the upper level community area at around 10pm. I also like the fact that the hotel is pretty secure I believe they shut the main door at 8 or 9 p.m. and you will need a key to get into the hotel after those hours. In all, I think the Cabo Inn is a great place to stay if you want to save on money but be near all...
Read moreCabo Inn is an absolute gem!!! I split my trip to Cabo here and another high end resort (for a wedding). I loved Cabo Inn so much that I went back and stayed there three more nights after the wedding. If you’re looking for value for your money this is an amazing option. There location is very central I didn’t walk more the 15 minutes a to get to any of the main attractions. The rooms are clean and each have their own personality. The inn is owned by Javier and his mother has personally decorated and even painted many of the pieces you find around the inn. If you want to feel like you’re staying at a friends home this is the place for you.
The front desk staff Maria, Flores, and Edwin are so gracious, informative, and good natured. They also have really great connections for any excursion deals or off the beaten path ideas while you’re in town. If you’re looking for a great place to eat they can also point you on the right path.
Ana was was housekeeper and she did a great job. There are two women who clean up but I mostly ran into Ana. She also willing to leave you an extra towel or grab you an aspirin if you have a headache.
Last, but certainly not least, I would highly recommend grabbing your breakfast there. Patricia runs the kitchen with the help of her nephew and she does an amazing job. I felt like I was eating my own Mom’s or abuelita’s food. She a wonderful cook and she and Alex are so courteous and attentive.
Also if you’re looking for the cutest (or very sexy getaway) they have two amazing open air bungalows.
Needless to say, I’m a fan. I would highly recommend checking Cabo Inn out of your an adventurer, traveling on a budget, or truly want to experience...
