Do not pass up this experience! Every moment was truly amazing from the moment we walked in. We got the couples 90 minute Masaje Amankaya. Worth every second! Every single moment is detailed out very specific and our bodies loved it! Massages included the vapor room with exfoliate and pool which was mapped out beautifully. The way they immersed your body through hot and cold experiences with the steam room and jetted plunge pool is truly what got our bodies fully prepped for our massage. Which WOW! The moment we entered the room the aroma was phenomenal, the herbs and oils they used were truly profound. The stones dipped in their herbal water was an amazing touch. Thank you to Pamela and Aurora for the amazing massage! It had us floating in tranquility, literally brought tears to our eyes… it was truly beautiful! Afterwards, they gave us delicious tea that that just kept you in the state of tranquility even after the massage. I cannot thank everyone enough for the amazing experience! The front desk was also the great help, she was very detailed and let us know the amazing benefits we experienced. Throughout this entire process we were so immersed in peace that we misplaced our phones, we experienced about 3 and half hours, when we left to our car we realized afterwards and ran back everyone helped look for our phone and it was exactly where we left it. This place was fantastic! My husband and I came here to get deep tissue massages, and it was a full experience. All massages include a spa ritual which was really nice. Just as a heads up, I booked our massages for 10:30am, but that really is just a placeholder for your spa experience. When we arrived we changed into bathing suits and were taken into the sauna for 15 minutes. Then we were given glasses of water and instructed to spend 10 minutes in the pool (water was cold but refreshing on a 90 degree day!). Finally, we were each given a bowl with a body scrub and washcloth and sent into a steam room for 15 minutes—much of the time was spent applying the scrub and exfoliating, which was great for me because otherwise I find it difficult to stay in a steam room that long. Finally, we showered and were given bathrobes to wear to our massages. I was already feeling better going into the massage, but felt even more incredible afterwards. We mentioned we were celebrating our 10 year anniversary and they surprised us with a little chocolate cake and tea before we left! This is a super lovely place and my massage therapist and esthetician Suzy was INCREDIBLE. She made me Soooo relaxed which did my soul a lot of good. The reason I am giving this place 4 stars is because I felt a little deceived by the manager Donna. I was told about a special offer (2,100 pesos for a massage/facial combo) but when it came time to pay it was $20 more than what I was originally quoted. When I first asked if the massage in the package included any massage, I was told yes. However, I was next told about a "therapeutic" massage, which was described as in-between deep tissue and swedish, which sounded perfect to me, so I accepted. I was never told there was a price difference until the end. I would've understood if there was a price difference if told upfront. Just please don't deceive me. It feels sneaky and unprofessional.
