Scammed by Taxi from Amsterdam Cruise Port – Triple Charged! We’re first-time visitors to Amsterdam, and sadly, our experience started with a serious taxi scam. We took a taxi from Celebrity Cruise Port to XO Blue Tower Hotel, expecting a fare around €40. Instead, our credit card was charged over €104, and we were charged without a clear explanation, and no visible meter. We’ve since reported the incident to our bank and attempted to contact the company with no luck. 🔻 Avoid This Taxi: We’ve uploaded a clear photo of the taxi license plate and the driver — we strongly recommend avoiding this vehicle and being extra cautious when taking taxis from the cruise terminal. ⸻ ⚠️ Tips for Travelers: • Use Uber, Bolt, or official apps • Confirm fare before the ride • Take a photo of the license and ID • Always check your card after payment Amsterdam is a beautiful city, but no traveler should start their trip this way.
