Eco Boats Amsterdam Canal Cruise Tickets — Local services in Amsterdam

I was researching and trying to find a good cruise option and I just happened to see this one outside centraal station. Incredible canal cruise! I was lucky enough to be the only person on board in the morning and it was perfect. The skipper was so kind and knowledgeable, he told stories about Dutch culture, the history of Amsterdam, how things were named, and even some of his own family history in the area. He answered questions, pointed out great photo ops, and was just a genuinely enjoyable person to spend a hour with. The crew were incredibly friendly and helpful and I cannot recommend ecoboats more. The price, the time, and the personal attention both to the details of the canals and to me personally made it a five star experience.

Our first visit to Amsterdam and you really gotta do a canal tour. We chose Eco Boats because of the smaller open top option. It's a few euros more but it's worth it. Because the boat is smaller, it can navigate through the smaller canals. This was a one hour tour with Egor as our guide. Igor was great! He gave us a gentle ride with a history of Amsterdam and the buildings we saw along our cruise. No gimmicks just knowledge. We went quite far out and saw lots of Amsterdam. A really worth while tour. He also managed to expertly avoid a small hire boat with no sense of direction. Well done Egor! And for not loosing your temper. Recommendable! We did the Amsterdam Light Festival Tour, on Tue 14 Jan 2025. It truly was a fantastic experience. The tour took place in a very comfortable 12m vessel. On board we were offered cheese and refreshments. Nico, the captain was a local of Amsterdam and while manoeuvring the boat between the brightly lit art objects, gave very elaborate descriptions. And because he clearly loved his city, he also explained all kinds of other fun facts of the canals we cruised trough. Even gave some suggestions of other things to do in Amsterdam.
