I genuinely regret choosing the University of Applied Sciences Europe in Amsterdam. The quality of education is shockingly poor — we barely learn anything of substance. A lot of the activities feel like they belong in a kindergarten classroom rather than a university setting. For example, one of our assignments was literally drawing how we see our future... All of the students use ChatGPT or similar tools to complete their assignments with absolutely no repercussions, furthermore there's little to no real academic engagement or oversight. The teachers don't seem to care or intervene — sometimes they just hand out the assignment, say a few words, and have the students do everything by themselves. As if that wasn't bad enough, teachers use ChatGPT to create assignments for students. There's no real guidance, feedback, or structure. Even though one of the "strong points" of this program is supposed to be constant feedback, it is literally generic surface level copy paste for each student. What’s worse is that despite the school’s policy to speak English during classes, this is NEVER enforced. Students and sometimes even staff freely switch to their native languages, leaving international students completely out of the loop. By "sometimes" I mean most of the time, as 80% of the students come from Bangladesh, they always choose to communicate in their native language, which made me feel the most isolated I've ever felt in my entire life.

On top of that, the student desk is disorganized, unresponsive, and extremely unhelpful. Trying to get anything sorted — from scheduling issues to administrative support — is a frustrating and time-wasting process. Every time I've ever asked for help from student desk I was redirected back and forth from one person to another.
