Hotel de Paris — Hotel in Amsterdam

I had such a pleasant stay! Although the room was small, it was clean and there was also a large window letting in lots of light. The room included a safe and also had excellent Wi-Fi. However, the thing that really made my trip was the staff. They were so helpful and kind and made me feel so welcome. I had a taxi arriving at 3.45am to take me to the airport but the receptionist was worried that I wouldn't wake up. He left a note for the night receptionist to call me in the morning to ensure that I was awake. They were honestly some of the nicest hotel staff I've ever encountered. I'd definitely go back! The location of the hotel is also perfect and within walking distance of everything. The Anne Frank house was about 15 minutes away and the Van Gogh museum also not far. I have booked a room but unfortunately i had an extreme emergency and I couldn't make it to the hotel. My booking was non refundable, I called the hotel at night and the gentelman was very kind and helpful, he recommended that I call his manager in the morning and he said that he will leave a note for him. I called the manager "Kirs" and he already knew about the situation, he was so kind and helpful and he authorised a full refund. It is very nice to know there are still kind people... I will definitely go to Amsterdam soon and I will stay in this hotel just because of their amazing and kind customer...

EXCELLENT location, friendly staff members, and clean rooms.

The hotel might be out of date in comparison, but that’s what give it character. The most important thing is that it is clean and safe and a short easy walk to the city center. I’ve also seen reviews of people complaining “how small the rooms are”, and it honestly did not bother us. Truthfully, you’re busy exploring, what would it matter if you had more space in your hotel room? If that’s the case then go book at the Marriott.
