The staff (female was ok male not so much) was not particularly friendly but they where accomodating. The location was also great. But the price quality was disappointing. I understand the location causes a higher cost. But I felt like the low quality of the food didn't make the final price justified. My sandwich didn't include all the ingredients listed on the menu, so even though it was good,it didn't manage to meet my full expectation. The pasta my friend had looked very unauthentic and really unappealing. It was also rather flavourless. With some improvements to the food this place could be quite nice, but for now I wouldn't recommend it. (Finally the bittergarnituur had some really nice bitterballen, but the vegetarian ones where really not good, though overall it was the best thing we ordered, my other friend had the uitsmijter which...

AVOID. I dined here a couple of times for lunch with no problem (food was ok) and attempted a third time for dinner on my last night (tonight, a Thursday) in Amsterdam—but the experience was TERRIBLE. I sat at a table for 20 minutes and the all-male staff wouldn’t clear my table (which was dirty from last patrons) or serve me, as they walked by repeatedly and made eye contact with me. My only conclusion is that these guys are STRONGLY anti-American (for the record, I’m an American who is very critical of the U.S.!) Locals only for dinner? Really poor policy when you are 5-6 doors down from a luxury hotel (Andaz). It was a most unfortunate ending to an otherwise perfect visit. If you appear to be American, save yourself the headache and visit any of the other friendly neighborhood spots in the...

Terrible, never again. I booked a table online for 4 persons on valentine day and they didn't have the reservation and even discussed with us about it. They gave us a table at the bar and we took it. I ordered mussels with another person of my group and we had a misunderstanding with the waiter but instead of offering me the option to get what i wanted he insisted we ordered the fish and we had to take it. My friend gave me the mussels as i didn’t like the fish and i am ill today from my stomach ! Spent all night in the toilet and today! When we asked the bill to pay, lucky i checked it and it was from another table! 270eur instead of the 190 we had to pay! The worst Reataurant experience i ever had in Amsterdam. I normally don't leave reviews but this one needed to...

We had just arrived in town and found this place a few blocks from the Anne Frank Museum. My dad said he enjoyed his beer and we ate a few of their appetizers. They had outdoor seating available as well, so you could take in views of the canals while enjoying your drink and food. The bitterballen and cheese platter were very good and filling. The service we received was spectacular. I don't drink, so I was thankful for the recommended local alternative. A grown man drinking European strawberry milk in a bar...I felt like a boss!
