We paid € 72 (3 people) for no meal. We asked twice (at different moments) whether our meals would be ready in time, because we had to leave for the theatre; twice they said it would be OK. But it took a long time and we were getting nervous, so we asked whether they could at least bring us any item in our order that was ready, rather than waiting for everything at once: our bread with hummus, for example, or the soup, or the fries. But they said, no, we don't do that. We stayed for 10 minutes longer than we had told them, but still no meals at all. A few minutes before we finally had to run off, some bread with a small amount of hummus was brought (they never gave us any bread whatsoever before that moment). We didn't even have time to finish the bread. So we left hungry, in a great hurry, and €72 poorer, for about five alcohol-free beers and a bit of bread (3 people).
Oh, and the alcohol-free Jupiler is € 6,80 per bottle. At the supermarket, those cost € 0,67 per bottle (Jumbo supermarket). So they sell them at 900% more expensive than normal. And I'm sure they pay less than you would in a supermarket, because they can buy them in bulk, skip the middle man. And they did not warn us at all about this outrageous price; we only chose the Jupiler because they mentioned it when we asked what kinds of alcohol-free...
Read moreWe came to Amsterdam for a bachelor party and stumbled upon this bar by chance – and it turned out to be the highlight of our trip. From the very first moment we walked in, the atmosphere was warm, lively, and welcoming. But what truly made the night unforgettable was the bartender: Robert.
Hands down, Robert is the best bartender we’ve ever had the pleasure of meeting. Not just in Amsterdam – anywhere. He’s got that perfect mix of charm, humor, professionalism, and just the right amount of mischief to make a wild night even better. He took care of our entire group like we were old friends, remembered all our names (somehow!), made incredible drinks, and always knew exactly when to crack a joke or keep the drinks flowing.
It’s not easy to handle a full bachelor crew, but Robert didn’t just manage us – he made the night. From custom shots to hilarious banter to great music recommendations, every minute was spot-on. We ended up staying way longer than planned and would absolutely come back here just for him.
If you’re in Amsterdam and want a bar where you’re treated like a VIP and laugh until your face hurts – this is the place. And if you’re lucky enough to be there when Robert is behind the bar, prepare for a night to remember.
Cheers from the whole bachelor...
Read moreThe bar as a whole is a quite good location. The interior looks really good and fits the style of the bar. The amount of beers is great, even with a house brand. When we were there they couple of times said they don't have the alcohol we ordered - not the right place for higher percentages in alcohol. The overall prizes fit the beers and are not too expensive considering the bar's location in Amsterdam.
Plus points: really big sortiment of Belgian beers good choice of music and style the bartenders know their brands good tasting house beer brand
Negative points: no drink sizes on the menu quite warm interior, can be annoying in the summer end prizes MAY differ from the menu only few other drinks than beer, if in stock
However because of the overall feeling we had when we were there I'd still...
