We paid € 72 (3 people) for no meal. We asked twice (at different moments) whether our meals would be ready in time, because we had to leave for the theatre; twice they said it would be OK. But it took a long time and we were getting nervous, so we asked whether they could at least bring us any item in our order that was ready, rather than waiting for everything at once: our bread with hummus, for example, or the soup, or the fries. But they said, no, we don't do that. We stayed for 10 minutes longer than we had told them, but still no meals at all. A few minutes before we finally had to run off, some bread with a small amount of hummus was brought (they never gave us any bread whatsoever before that moment). We didn't even have time to finish the bread. So we left hungry, in a great hurry, and €72 poorer, for about five alcohol-free beers and a bit of bread (3 people).

Oh, and the alcohol-free Jupiler is € 6,80 per bottle. At the supermarket, those cost € 0,67 per bottle (Jumbo supermarket). So they sell them at 900% more expensive than normal. And I'm sure they pay less than you would in a supermarket, because they can buy them in bulk, skip the middle man. And they did not warn us at all about this outrageous price; we only chose the Jupiler because they mentioned it when we asked what kinds of alcohol-free...

We came to Amsterdam for a bachelor party and stumbled upon this bar by chance – and it turned out to be the highlight of our trip. From the very first moment we walked in, the atmosphere was warm, lively, and welcoming. But what truly made the night unforgettable was the bartender: Robert.

Hands down, Robert is the best bartender we’ve ever had the pleasure of meeting. Not just in Amsterdam – anywhere. He’s got that perfect mix of charm, humor, professionalism, and just the right amount of mischief to make a wild night even better. He took care of our entire group like we were old friends, remembered all our names (somehow!), made incredible drinks, and always knew exactly when to crack a joke or keep the drinks flowing.

It’s not easy to handle a full bachelor crew, but Robert didn’t just manage us – he made the night. From custom shots to hilarious banter to great music recommendations, every minute was spot-on. We ended up staying way longer than planned and would absolutely come back here just for him.

If you’re in Amsterdam and want a bar where you’re treated like a VIP and laugh until your face hurts – this is the place. And if you’re lucky enough to be there when Robert is behind the bar, prepare for a night to remember.

Cheers from the whole bachelor...

The bar as a whole is a quite good location. The interior looks really good and fits the style of the bar. The amount of beers is great, even with a house brand. When we were there they couple of times said they don't have the alcohol we ordered - not the right place for higher percentages in alcohol. The overall prizes fit the beers and are not too expensive considering the bar's location in Amsterdam.

Plus points: really big sortiment of Belgian beers good choice of music and style the bartenders know their brands good tasting house beer brand

Negative points: no drink sizes on the menu quite warm interior, can be annoying in the summer end prizes MAY differ from the menu only few other drinks than beer, if in stock

However because of the overall feeling we had when we were there I'd still...

I wanted to eat something before going to the movies and I had heard about this place reopening after many time so I was curious to try it out. And I’m so glad I did that! The atmosphere is super cozy, the staff is the nicest and the cheeseburger was one of the tastiest I got in Amsterdam. Regarding the most important part: the beer selection is perfect, there are many options both on tap and in bottles to satisfy everyone’s taste. I want to come back to try the rest of the food and beer menu for sure and bring some friends there as it looks as the perfect place to spend a nice night out, especially if you’d like to stay in the city centre but also to avoid all the overcrowded touristy places. I don’t know how it was before the closing but right now I definitely suggest you pay a visit!

Stopped in here randomly, we were looking for a place to eat and thought it looked perfect. We were right on! One woman running the whole deal with someone in the back cooking. She was a total boss too, and really nice as soon as we could all make up our minds on what we wanted! We had burgers and ribeye and it was all delicious!!! The appetizers were also top notch, and the beer selection one of the best I saw while in Amsterdam. You get a nice warm atmosphere and the soundtrack playing was bluesy American rock which was a lot of fun. Highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a nice authentic Amsterdam experience. It was all very delicious with great service! Don't miss it

Excellent Dutch restaurant with nice vibe inside. The staff is super nice, friendly and speak English. The food is amazing and the portion size is more than enough. It has the authentic Dutch taste and loved it. However, the toilet seemed to be not well-maintained, as it was a bit dirty and there were no tissues. The biggest downside is the waiting time, as we had to wait almost 1 hour. However, it's acceptable because the food is made fresh. The meal is satisfactory for the price! Tip: Usually, the dish of the day is nice, and is great for the price. Ask the staff about it first and they will help you out.
