The Governor's Palace, as it is called this beautiful building, dates from the 17th century and was built next to the original fort that protected the entrance to the bay, this in turn, built by the Dutch to defend the island when they took it from the Spanish.

Centrally located in Punda, at the exit of the floating bridge, it is one of the buildings that give that special "something" to the historic center of Curaçao.
