Greenwoods Fresh Catch — Restaurant in Albert-Eden

The food itself was great, and service itself was on time however on this occasion it was a very cold and windy night and we came in to see an older couple shivering in the corner due to the wind. I thought best to close the door so to make it comfortable for them however, we were told by the couple that we were not allowed to do this. I can only assume it was because of there extraction system not working appropriately. I was appalled that they would let this couple freeze due to the wind tunnel rather than let them close the door. I'm not sure if I would return on that basis. It would have been fine if it was just me and my husband but I would be really upset if my grandparents ( they weren't but just as an example) were told to keep the door open and freeze because of unknown reasons, especially in winter. Very sad to see as the fish and chips are always good here. What i would suggest in future is if something isn't working put a sign out, otherwise it does seem highly...

Being a local I have seen some changes of owners but these guys are the winners. Their food is fantastic. I can’t say that I have tried their hamburger, but that’s my next stop I have very good evidence that the hamburgers are fabulous and worth every penny. The fish and chips are fantastic. The gurnard and the snapper and the Terakahi is so fresh. It’s melt in your mouth It is a family run business which these days is a wonderful thing because they’re all after the same result, so therefore they give great service, Mum and Dad and the boys always have a smile for you when you walk in.

Parking is not a problem, just around the corner. In a few short months these guys have taken the local area by storm, and with good reason.

NOTE ! Friday night, is their busiest night so be prepared to wait or better still, phone ( 09 630 0111 ) your order through which will save you having to wait outside in the cold.

Charging $23.10 for 6 prawn twisters on uber eats, $14 for a piece of snapper smaller than my hand. $15 for x6 chicken nuggets ($2.50 per tiny nugget) that don't even come close to Mcdonalds, which are already terrible.. For shame fellas..

Edit: 6 pack of prawns are $11 pick up, so clearly price gouging/discriminating against customers that aren't able to go in store, uber takes 30% so I can understand upcharging that much, but this has clearly...
