Best prepared meal I've had since moving to Christchurch, fifteen years ago. Nothing fancy or pretentious - just pristinely fresh ingredients (procured daily) deftly choreographed to compliment main and contributing ingredients. If I close my eyes while eating the fish tacos I can easily find myself back in the Mexican Caribbean - with the sea the only missing ingredient. My boy has enjoys both the Pork Meal & the Korean BBQ Chicken wrap. But I always must have the fish tacos for reasons alluded to above. Casual, outdoor, atmosphere with the sweet-tempered solo proprietor who clearly gives a damn about food and his diners. The BBD crowd is lucky to have Home ... but I wish the proprietor would move his container closer to the beach so I could dine apres surf. Long may Home...
